I’m Thinking of a Superhero

His name is going to be Jimmy Sun. He’ll be a teenage criminal, incarcerated at 16 and halfway through a 12-year sentence, and given the chance to shorten his sentence if he acts as a guide for Sam Zhang, an undercover officer, through gang territory in Los Angeles. Along the way he’ll need to gain the trust of Dragon, one of the prison guards, in order to obtain a baton that has been designed to change length; restore the trust of ex-convicts Pigs and Dune in the legal system and convince them to join him; win over the privileged “little prince” and Dragon’s son Jade and reconcile him with his father; and successfully protect Sam from various gang members seeking her blood as she gathers information on the 44 Ghosts gang in order for the police to control them.

Oh, and Sam will be a strong, independent woman. She wouldn’t have become a police officer otherwise.

Whether she and Jimmy get together at the end is another story. Because that’s not the focus.
